In this section we have listed famous London attractions and theme parks that charge an admission. Some places like Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and The Tower of London we have put in Landmarks, as the exterior is just as important as the interior. The same rationale goes for places like the London Aquarium and London Zoo, where we have put them in the Animals section. Anyway, ..... you get the picture. If it's big, fun and paid for you'll find it here!

HMS Belfast
HMS Belfast is the largest surviving (up to 950 crew) example of Britain's twentieth century naval power. Retired from active service in 1965 it was moored on the Thames between Tower and London Bridge in 1978 and is now a floating museum. She was the first ship to be saved for the nation since Nelson's HMS Victory due to her historical importance. Best known for her role in supporting the advancing Allied troops as they made their way onto Gold and Juno beaches on the morning of D-Day, 6 June 1944, HMS Belfast is now a naval time capsule, providing nine decks of living history to explore. Group bookings for up to 52 children to `Kip in a Ship' are available at £25 PP per night with up to 6 accompanying adults.
One of London's most famous tourist attractions has a host of wax effigies of celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Wayne Rooney, Robbie Williams, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue and many more. You also get access to the Stardome, which replaced the Planetarium after it closed in 2006. It features a 360-degree show `The Wonderful World Of Stars', produced exclusively for Madame Tussauds by Oscar-winning animators Aardman (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run). Other featured attractions include Big Brother and Pirates of the Carribean. Pushchairs not permitted, but storage available. Wheelchair users welcome, but should ring in advance due to limited capacity (0870 400 3000).

With over 40 exhibits this horror attraction covers some of the more gruesome bits of London's 2000 year history, ranging from the the plague and the great fire to Jack the ripper! The dark and eerie atmosphere might prove a little overwhelming for younger children.
